Hello...Another month slipped by without an update... Getting lazy & rusty in blogging now that i don't even know how to start... :(
Ok... This CNY was kinda special & different from the previous years... First of all, Thengjiejie is married & with a baby of 3 months old...
Every CNY eve I used to be waiting her to come home for reunion dinner & we would chat whole night long, update each other on every details of our lives...
Now that she's married, she's gonna come home only on Chor 2 which is the second day of CNY...
Its saddening knowing the reason of my anticipation for CNY eve is no longer exist... :(
Ok... Let's go days by days & start with Chor 1, the very 1st day of CNY... 31/1/14, Friday
Had a "bai nian" activity with friends in my hometown... Bai nian is like paying a new year visit to friend's or relative's home where you can get angpao & get treated with lots of food...
Was gonna start bai nian at my house at 9.30am...
Tada...Lion dance performance in the morning... :D
Guess what... Winqi & her cousin were the earliest & it was 10 something am, followed by GowXiao at almost 11am... When we called everyone who didn't show up, found out the guys had a drink session the night before & everyone was still sleeping from the hangover.. =_=
We were like :" Seriously..."... Winqi then came up with a brilliant idea to pay a surprise new year visit to those who promised to come but never did...
Luckily we still managed to get everyone's ass here & tada...Time for the group pictures... :)
11am... 3 people...
2pm... 9 people...
3pm... 10++ people... Haha, look at how we had finally gathered everyone together...Quite a progress huh... :$
It was the only day of the entire year that could draw all of us together... We chatted, we talked, we laughed, we mocked, we played... No matter what happened, no matter how long we didn't see each other or be in touch, they are always gonna be my people... :)
Oh yup...My ex & i are on speaking term again after what seems like years...Its a good sign... It means we could finally put all the pasts behind us...No longer was each other's most familiar stranger,haha... :)
Attended a friend's 21st birthday celebration at that night...

Staying at home whole day waiting for relatives to come, especially my dearest Thengjiejie...
Had a family dinner & went to AhLock's house for Bitong's 21st birthday celebration after that...

Yup...i'm getting 21 years old in 7 months time...Oh my god....Can't i just be young forever... :(
Chor 3, 3rd day of CNY... 2/2/14, Sunday
Spent the day at home hanging out with family...

My little nephew is so so so adorable!!!!!!!! Erm...I think he wasn't feeling so comfortable in my arms... :$
Just couldn't stay away from him & took tons of pictures of him...
You know how babies always have this nice smell on them & how their skin is so smooth & soft that it feels like marshmallow...I swore i melt the second i got to hold him in my embrace, he's so squeezable!!! And i barely could get my lips off his check, its so kissable oh my god!!! Ok...pardon me, huge baby lover here... :$

Tada...Thengjiejie, jiefu and grandpa with his great grandson...Lovely isn't it... Look, Nicholas was actually smiling... :D
My little cousin Evelyn... We both have this princess addiction it makes us the best buddies... No generation gap at all... :D
And i love her necklace like madly!!! Despite everyone's criticism of it being too childish, still... i'm gonna get myself one... :D
All the relatives left in the evening & i was like :" huh....so fast..." Feeling lonely... :(
Had a friends' reunion dinner & visited Winqi's house afterward...
Then... Chor 6, 6th day of CNY... 5/2/14, Wednesday
Had a little backpacking trip to kl with friends...There's total 6 of us : Winqi, Sherryn, Jason, GowXiao, AhLooy & me... :)
Went traveling with them made me felt like going back to high school again... The way we communicate, how we criticize each other without worrying anyone get angry, how we know each other so well that we can just be ourselves, put aside all the pretending, laugh and be rude when you feel like it because they won't care & they acknowledge that's the real you...
1st stop : Doraemon exhibition in Viva Home...

Made our way to Pavilion for movie & also dinner...
In WongKok... AhLooy's birthday was on the next day & hence the super huge glass of milk tea...
We watched Hello Babies & the guys laughed throughout the whole movie,haha... They laughed like they were on the edge of going crazy...Ok, maybe they were already there, haha...
Crashed Jason's hostel in Setapak for the rest of the night...His hostel that night was like a gathering hub...
Haha...AhLooy i'm so sorry for your 21st birthday cake... By the time the movie ended, it was already almost 11pm, all the cake shops were closed... Starbucks muffins and chocolate mud tasted nice as well... :$
& i purposely arranged them in a smiley face, can you tell that ? :$
Another sorry for the absence of candles...Flashlight would do too... :$
Hello birthday boy!!!!!!!!!
It was 1 something am, i saw fluffy's eyes were all red due to the reason of wearing cons more than 12 hours... Didn't really have the heart to let him drive back all alone thus i left with him & met up with them the next morning...
Chor 7, 7th day of CNY... 7/2/14, Thursday
Brunch with fluffy at Tous Les Jours before going back home...
This trip was short but great... Sometimes its not about where, what or how, but with whom we had spend our quality time with...
Another reason i mentioned about this year CNY being different & special was because i spent a lot of fun time with friends, also did something that i've never done before with them... Even though we live different lives, stay different places, do different things, our friendship is gonna hold us together as strong as diamond... Bad metaphor? Whatever... :$
As for the last reason that made this CNY unique & different.......
Chor 11, 11th day of CNY... 10/2/14, Monday
Fluffy came visit my family after his class ended...To be specific, it was more like bring-your-boyfriend-home-and-introduce-to-your-family kind of thing...
I was so nervous as i didn't know what's the outcome gonna be...Will my mum interrogate him like how she thought he is not good enough for me or will she be friendly and finally be open-minded that actually her daughter isn't any better than other girls that she doesn't need a millionaire boyfriend...
He was freaking out as well as he knew how strict my family is, especially my mum...
"Meeting your family is like having final exam... After the night is through, its gonna feel like sem break..." Haha...ain't no exaggerating...
It turned out quite well, mummy was being more friendly than i thought...
Starting i was like :" Don't be sad if you don't get any angpao from mummy ok ? "
& he was like :" Its contented enough that she doesn't kick me out of your house..." Haha...
Mummy did give him angpao alright & the amount inside was out of my expectation in a good way, Phew... :$
He's even invited to join us for dinner as that day was grandpa's birthday... Not bad i guess ? :o
Everything went smoothly & that's it... Big big hug to fluffy for having so much courage to make this huge move, it means so much to me... That night definitely was another milestone for us...
Fluffy you're officially accepted by my family... Congratulations.... :D
Chor 14, 14th day of CNY... 13/2/14, Thursday
My coursemates came over for dinner at my place!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh my god...FINALLY GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We've been talking about dinner together at my place for one whole year & now it eventually came true!!!!
So nice to have them over...Next time we should throw a slumber party at my house... :D
Its not just an usual dinner, we also decided to celebrate pinky's birthday in advance...
Tada...My chemistry gang... :D
Oh my god...this is getting so lengthy...ChapGorMei + Valentine is gonna have to wait for the next blog post...
