♥~Cecilly's First Trip in 2017 : Bangkok + HuaHin~♥

Happy New Year & Happy Chinese New Year... Its going to be a wonderful year, yes ? no?

I thought it was a yes for me until few days ago when a bad news struck... It was, still is tough but its only the beginning of the year, we need to have faith that it will get better & we'll make this year count... I believe things happen for a reason, i see it as a lesson, a test from life, not only to him, but to all of us...

We're gonna learn & gain something out of it, perhaps an epiphany for a better change, or a realization to appreciation, who knows... Its ok that life gives us lemon, its ok that life gives us a rough path, we're gonna make it, it could take a long time but we'll MAKE IT eventually...

By the time you're at the finishing line & when you look back to the route you've traveled, you'll be grateful knowing even though you're not as lucky as others, even though you had it harder than others, at least you did it, at least you get to experience a whole lot more along the trail that they could never do, at least you know you've suffered worse & will be braver than ever to face any obstacle await... Be strong & everything will be ok, it might not be ok now, but it will be...

Very cliche is it? haha...sorry, just need to get this off my chest as its a reminder to me too...

Without further ado, i'll start talking, well, typing about my first getaway in 2017...

13/1/17, Friday   Bangkok Day 1

Ok, the itinerary of this trip was all planned by me, the luggage were all packed by me, i planned & prepared everything... All Fluffy needed to do was to bring himself, he didn't even know where we were going & what's with the places that we were going yet he had the face to tell me he only had 1 request which was to wake up naturally without any interference, guess what, of course a big NO... See, so much for his contribution, haha...

Sawadeecup... It was near evening by the time we touched down, we checked in, rested a while then were out for dinner & also our first meal in Bangkok...

The Rome restaurant it was... People were spamming posts & pictures about it i needed to go visit for myself to see if its worth the fuss people were making over it... It was a Rome-themed restaurant, with imposing Roman statues & some posh seating areas located in a spacious pool... The environment was fairly romantic & very picturesque, haha...

What surprised me was their toilet, for the ladies restroom, it was surrounded with full-length mirror & everything included their sink, toilet roll holder, etc were so delicately arranged & designed... What do you expect in a toilet fancy like this? Lots of girls selfie-ing in front of the mirror, haha... Well i wasn't one of them in case you wonder, haha... Didn't take a picture of it but i did have picture of me posing at the entrance, haha...

Here, the alley where it leads you the your fancy restroom...

As for the food, their serve mainly western & also some Thai cuisine... We had spaghetti, pizza & tomyam soup... I found it so-so because everything was a little too spicy for me, Fluffy was just fine he's the-spicier-the-better kind...

How the restaurant looks like from their viewing deck... Called it a day just like that, had to get ourselves fully charged for the next day... :)

14/1/17, Saturday   Bangkok Day 2

Dragged Fluffy out of bed for a morning walk to the Chatuchak weekend market, was so ready to go on a shopping spree, haha...

It was our 47th monthsary Fluffy wished me in the morning i was SO OVER THE MOON *to amplify my feeling i need to bold it* as he never remembered, i was always the one who wished him first... It made my day like i've just came back from a trip to the universe, not exaggerating, i was that happy!!!

We walked to the nearest local skytrain BTS station which was around 10 mins walking distance from our hotel... Then hopped on the train, got down at the next station, another 10 mins walk, then TADA, there we were, the well-known Chatuchak weekend market...

It was very crowded & the temperature was gradually raising... I've never exposed myself under the sun & have never sweated so much for a very long time, i was screaming inside : No!!! I don't need to be darker than i already am!!!

Didn't buy as many as i predicted i would buy, haha... Mostly because I've got all the clothes i felt like having from TaoBao already, there's no need to buy so many similar one, glad that i was still rational, haha...

Time for the pictures...

We spent around 3 hours there & were super exhausted already... According to our itinerary, Pratunam was supposed to be our next stop but i postponed it to day 4... Headed back to hotel for a short nap before we hit on the road to Chocolate Ville... When we woke up from the 2 hours nap, Fluffy & i both agreed it felt like we've slept for a whole day, haha, that's how tired we got...

The taxi driver suggested us to go Hua Mum night market afterwards as its only a short cab ride from Chocolate Ville... This Hua Mum market is a place where foreigners or tourists are unlikely to be familiar with as it was newly opened & most of the vendors couldn't speak English, was glad that we met a friendly taxi driver who recommended us this place...

Its like the normal night market we went to, with lots of clothes & food stalls... There's a wide variety of food to choose from, like Thai, Western, Korean, Japanese, etc... We bought mango stick rice for supper later back in hotel room & had Thai tomyam ramen there...

Was mis-recognized as Thai girl & i became Fluffy's laughing stock for the rest of our days in Thailand...You know the jokes he made out of me mainly revolved around my skin tone... Dear readers, am i THAT dark??? -_-

It was a fabulous day & lots of shopping & taking pictures & eating... :)

15/1/17, Sunday   HuaHin  Day 3

Checked out unwilling as it was a really comfortable stay, hehe... then we had 7-11 burger as breakfast... The last time i went to Koh Lipe, i mostly had cup noodles from 7-11 but fluffy ate many of their burgers & he couldn't stop bragging about how delicious they were... I wasn't impressed back then but i was convinced once we went back to Msia, haha... To eat 7-11 burger sort of made it to the top of my to do list in Thailand then, haha...

So...it turned out Fluffy absolutely went overboard about the burger but it did taste good, haha...

Get to Mo-Chit station, took their minivan to our next destination, HuaHin... It was the cheapest option it costed only 180 baht per person for a 3 hour journey to HuaHin...

By the time we reached there, we took the local motorcycle taxi ride which costed 40 baht to our hotel, Green Gallery Resort... I chose this because it was a seaside resort & they had a really beautiful room namely Blue and White, where we were gonna stay for the night...

Attractions to visit for the day were Santorini Water Park & Swiss Sheep Farm... It was quite a distance from our resort we went there by Tuk Tuk...

Haha... It was my very first time seeing alpaca in real, they were so so so cute!!!!!

Look at that face...

Was gonna feed the brown one while the black one sneaking up on me from behind... Did you see the black alpaca coming from behind ? :$

My shocked face which the black one suddenly came from behind, brushed through my face to get the grass from me, haha...very hilarious & fun!!!!

This alpaca has protruding teeth... :$

The sky already turned dark by the time we returned... We made use of the free bicycle from the resort & had a night ride out for food hunting... We could have rode 2 bicycles but this girl here wanted to have a romantic bicycle ride i insisted Fluffy rode me, haha...

Had local Thai cuisine for dinner, then we bought local cup noodles from family mart for supper, headed back & had a relaxing night in our very beautiful & dreamy room... Fluffy's definition of relaxing was to turn up the stereo volume & filled the room with Closer from The Chainsmoker which i had victoriously forbidden, haha...

Wanted to have a jacuzzi bath but it was outdoor & the insects couldn't stop flying into the water i gave up, haha...

16/1/17, Sunday   Bangkok  Day 4

Woke up to sound of the wave washing up to the shore, oh my god that kind of morning was to die for... It was still dark outside & i realized it was only 6am in the morning & surprisingly Fluffy was awake... He said there's too many mosquitoes trying to feed on him he couldn't sleep, hahaha... I slept so soundly & so deep i was never bothered by mosquitoes i wondered why they were interested only in his blood but not mine, haha...

Breakfast was provided at their cafe & we already selected our breakfast when we checked in... Fluffy went for their American style breakfast while i chose egg benedicts... All you gotta do was just to go in, sit down, tell them your room number then tada, breakfast's here!

I thought i couldn't love this place better because we had jacuzzi, bathtub, dressing table, a small bar counter with free Ovaltine & Nescafe, a speaker with iphone charger, a private roof top with artificial grass for sea viewing, ultimate sea view balcony, free breakfast, until i had this conversation with the waitress...

"Would you like a toast?"  "Yes..."

"Would you like some yogurts?" " Sure.."

"Would you like some cornflakes & milk?" "Of course..."

"Some fruits perhaps?" "Yea bring them..."

Fluffy gave me a face & asked i could finish them... Our table was full of food & all of them were free, could their service get any better? The answer was yes because we got a free gift from the resort on our check out... Loved that place so so much!!!!! HuaHin this place was just genuinely lovely...

Get back to Bangkok & this time our stay was a walking distance to Pratunam & various shopping malls like Platinum & Central World... Had a night shopping at the famous Pratunam night market & also Platinum Mall as it was our last night in Bangkok... Bought myself some unique handmade souvenirs i just likey a night like this... <3

Even went to this place namely Jeh O Chula for its very popular Mama Tomyam which has gone viral on instagram... This mama Tomyam was only served from 11pm to 2am because the crowd was too crazy the kitchen couldn't cope... We waited one hour for the table & another 20 minutes for our food to be served... By the time we got our bills, the crowd outside was still massive....

Tada...Its actually mama instant noodle cooked with different ingredients like seafood, eggs, pork & other food that you would add to tomyam... Again, it was too spicy for me Fluffy had to eat 3/4 portion of it...

A Thai style massage was a must after a long night of hustling... Then, went to bed satisfied & contented...

17/1/17, Monday   Bangkok  Day 5

Last day, what? So fast ? :(

Had breakfast at another famous cafe in Bangkok, B-Story... Their squid with salted egg deserved a thumbs up...

Madame Tussaud's wax museum for next...Visited the one in HK before but i wanted to see how's the Edward Cullen in Bangkok looks like... You know what...it turned out my dear Edward with real name Robert Pattinson was sent back to London already... Was devastated i cried on the spot, maybe you would think its too much but no one understand what my love for Edward is like, haha...

Fluffy had to do the comforting & gently led me away from that place where my heart was broken & crushed... :$

Steven Gerrard, my old time favorite football player.. :$

This is my husband, Jay Chou... :$

Ok... 007 anyone? This is so far the best wax figure i spotted, he looked so much like a living person i was in awe...

The tallest celebrity in the museum so far.. I'm 163cm, you can roughly estimate his height...

The Leonardo Dicaprio... Hi Jack, i could be your Rose today... :$

Short visit to MBK shopping mall & had this must-try After You dessert before going back to Msia...

We ordered milo baby toast which baby means a size slightly smaller than the regular one... It was good, the toast is crunchy outside & soft inside, 100 thumbs up...

That's it... That's the end of our Thailand trip... It was a beautiful experience & tons of amazing memories were created... Would definitely visit Bangkok again despite the awfully hot weather...

Thanks for reading... See you again... :)
