♥~FluffyCecilly's 2nd Getaway: Penang~♥

Happy New Year!!! Oh my gosh...its alredy 2016,& my last update's back in Nov 2015...

Let me jot down some memories back in December 2015 before i forget...

A lot of up and down back in the last month of 2015...Great memory comes first, ok? I'll see if i wanna write down the not-so-well part in the end of this diary, haha...So, Fluffy & I had our 2nd getaway together, just us, no light bulbs, haha...

Have been wanting to visit Penang, not that i didn't go there before, its just i never had a proper chance to really get to visit the attractions there & to eat their famous local hawker food...

There was this day which was a month before Christmas, " Deardear, i have holiday during Christmas, wanna go Penang? Please please... If you agree then i'll online search for hotel now..."

As my personal Santa Claus & wish granter, he basically never said no the things that i want, so there!!! :)

22th December 2015, Tuesday

It took at least 4 hours to drive from KL to Penang, we agreed to take turn on the driving part but he pampered me too much i only had to drive for 1 hour plus, hehe...

Had this famous char kway teow once we were there & paid a short visit to Clan Jetty before we checked in...

Spent our first night at Batu Ferringhi...We stayed in this hotel called Roomies Suite & i really like their service... The staff there was so friendly & helpful we were both so impressed... The hotel room was neat & big which came with a very reasonable price, nothing to complain because we liked it too much...Credits to me ok, haha, you have no idea how long i've searched for a decent hotel that came with room with unique interior... :$

Once we settled down, headed to the beach which was located just 5 mins walk away from our hotel...I don't know about you, but to me, its such a romantic thing to have a stroll by the beach with your love one... Also, we took many pictures to have this great moment remembered...

You know on our way back, there was this muscular guy walking in front of me & i accidentally noticed his side profile he had such heavy lashes & a very well-sculpture face...Was so curious if he looked as handsome as i assumed so i was like basically staring at him waiting for him to turn his head around to let me have a clearer look...

"What are you looking at?", haha...Busted!!! "Cheh...always complain about me staring at pretty girl..Your eyes were fixed on him for soooooo long you don't know..."

"Its not the same.. I was just curious & he's walking in front of me its hard to miss, ok? You're like scanning all the faces from the beach there all the way back to our hotel..."

This conversation or you could refer it as a debate, haha... went on & on & on....

Went to this Pulau Tikus's hawker lok lok for dinner, Its one of the must eat in Penang, the crowds there were unavoidable, luckily we found a place to sit in less than 10 mins...

They offered a wide variety of foods ranging from seafood and meats to vegetables... The food was ok but we hoped for a more spicy chili sauce haha...

Called the day off after that....

23th December 2015, Wednesday

Checked out at around 10 something in the morning... Oh yes, forget to mention that breakfast was included so we had our breakfast at the hotel lobby... It wasn't some fancy buffet breakfast, just fried noodles and fried rice with Ovaltine or coffee... Its a pleasant meal though, provided by their very helpful staff... :)

Made our way to this Saanen Goat Farm because this girl here is a super fan of little animals she wouldn't miss a chance to visit one,haha...

Its quite a distance from Batu Ferringhi & the road was very narrow & winding...

I thought we could squeeze some goat milk ourselves turned out its forbidden,haha... Even witnessed an old goat trying to pick a fight with a young one, you know when it jumped, aimed the young one with its horn & readied to attack i was like "Woah woah woah..look !!!" but fluffy was busy feeding the other goats...so, fine... -_-   Had the moment recorded though,hehe...

Had a short & fun time there then its time for food again... Tried Siam laksa in Balik Pulau but sadly to say that we both didn't find it especially appealing... Next stop : Penang Hill...

The queue was so crazy we waited for almost an hour to get into the shuttle train which brought us to the top of the hill...

Haha, see how fluffy was being ignored...The Pooh & Goofy i encountered in HK Disneyland back then had the same sexist attitude too, they only hugged & interacted with me while my brother was standing beside trying so hard to blend in,haha... i don't know if they were all like this or coincidence, fluffy was like :" you know its sure a guy inside the costume..."

Had a short walk & a look around the ancient mansions those were mostly purchased by British...Perhaps some generals or captains back then...Fascinated me a lot because i've always have this rich interest in historical building, that's why Greece is on the top of my travel list... :p

Before made our way back to Georgetown, we also tried this laksa from ayer itam which we found tasted better than the previous one... Still, laksa from Jonker 88 Malacca is the best i've ever eaten...Notwithstanding that, fluffy said we couldn't compare because they are different kind of laksa, he's very much satisfied with the ayer itam one i guess... :P

Other than local popular food, must hunted down one of a few local trendy cafe like Tavern in the Park, right? :$

This place was like a hidden green in the city, so beautiful & country... This day was full of eating, haha, because we went for the Green House prawn noodles subsequently... That was so far the best food we had in Penang... They provided a wide assortments of add-ons, ranging from fish ball, Taiwanese sausages to boiled eggs...

According to our research online, people agree that the prawn noodles there is best enjoyed with a serving of its famous roasted pork, giving richer taste to the soup with occasional crunch...Fluffy ordered it but i like to eat meat ball so you can see the one on the right was mine... :)

Met up with Fluffy's degree friend, Brendon, for the rest of the night... They did this boys talk while i enjoyed my nitrogen ice-cream & commented at a suitable point in the conversation to fill the pause... It was a newly open cafe named Ice Estate... Alert!!! The proprietor of the boutique hotel attached to the cafe was a good looking guy,haha... I knew because we had a little talk with both the cafe's owner & the cute guy...Lucky me, right? Even found his fb & insta, hohoho, but i didn't follow, just teasing with fluffy because he was like :" handsome meh? rich only ma..." Soemone is being jealous & petty... :p

24th December 2015, Thursday

Its Christmas Eve!!! Also, our last day in Penang... Wanted to go for Ah Lai Kopitiam as its tomyam noddles with melted cheese looked so tempting my stomach was so turned on, haha.. Ended up, it was closed for the day, NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Changed location to this popular breakfast haunt, a coffee shop named Toh Soon多春, which its famous for its charcoal-toasted bread, nasi lemak & HaiNan coffee... & oh my god!!! their toasted bread was so so so so so nice i was like how could a normal bread with normal kaya and butter could taste so much like heaven!!! A bite of it beats a full table of sushi, haha... my kind of metaphor... :$

We shared the table with 3 guys due to the the crazy amount of customers... 3 of them were from local & they were so hospitable they even paid for our meal even though we rejected & tried to return them money... You know sometimes, instead of the food, its the people we met that cheered our day up the most... :)

People always say that your trip to Penang would never be completed without trying the famous Penang Road Cendol... I seldom eat cendol so i can't really tell the difference but still, a bowl of cendol under the scorching sun seemed like a good idea... :)

St George Church...

Fort Cornwallis...

Lorong Selamat Char Kway Teow...Looks delicious? It tasted so, especially when Fluffy wanted it more spicy, a little expensive though...Urrrggghhhh, i'm so hungry right now.... ><

Ok...Hadn't have enough of food but its getting late & we were worried for the jam, hence we headed back to KL after that, it was around 4-5pm if my memory doesn't fail me...

I slept most of the time in car, haha... I was so pampered that Fluffy drove all 4 hours back to KL... When i asked :" why you don't let me drive?", he would touch my face so softly and said :" I sayang you ma..." in a tone that only belonged to me...You know you spoil me too much i'll so not get used to it when you're not with me, right? Just like now... :'(

& luckily it was a smooth drive back to KL, no jam... :D

There, draws the end to our little Penang getaway... Really love travelling around with just him, its like the moment is all ours that make the rest of the world fade away to nothing more than background noise.... Aww....the memories.... Can't wait for our next vacation, hopefully oversea,haha... think too much... :$

Had christmas eve dinner with his nanny's family & spent Christmas with his mom, we watched Ip Man 3,haha...

So my next post would be my Taiwan trip, oh my god its a 7 days kind of post...haha... & i decided not to write about the bad part,haha... blek..
