♥~Fluffy's 24th Birthday to Krabi~♥

 Hello... Its Fluffy's birthday... :)

3/6/17 Saturday

Didn't know what present to buy him & the things he needed were over my budget so i came up with this sponsored birthday trip... Get to travel to new place & create memories together, one stone two birds, haha... :)

I asked for a sponsored trip too for my birthday but i have a hunch he'll buy me a vacuum cleaner.. :')

It was a free & easy vacation we didn't pack too much things & didn't have to check in luggage too.. Our flight was at 7am in the morning it took around 1H to reach our destination : Krabi...

Once we touched down, had a light breakfast at the airport & we were good to start this Krabi adventure...

I had everything planned i booked this local tour weeks before it was affortable, ok larr, its quite cheap actually... Everything was nice except for the one who texted me details about the tour... It was a she & her english was broken but its ok, i never judged... The thing was she claimed that i don't understand english, WHATTTTT????!!!! This i was offended, haha, didn't really feel like replying her message when she whatsapped me : "How was your day? Is everything good?" haha, petty me...

First, we headed to the Emerald pool & jungle hot spring, its was quite a way out of the town... The hot spring was alright, its just a natural hot spring where you could have a relaxing pastime with a warm soak...

Too many tourists as backdrop haha...

For Emerald Pool, this nature reserve is a pool filled with pure spring water which can be reached via a walking trail in the jungle... It took more or less 30mins of walking along the trail where we passed by some clear mini-pools, streams and different species of tropical plants...

The color of the water was very inviting...

Too bad the Blue Pool was closed we didn't get to visit that one, sobs sobs...

Tiger Cave Temple up next... I chose to climb 1300 steps of staircases up the moutain peak instead of the elephant trekking as I didn't particularly fancy the idea of riding an elephant, it might seem interesting & fun but it  more or less felt like an animal abuse for me...

The climb was tiring & challenging i wondered if i ever sweated so much in my life before... I had stronger stamina than Fluffy though, haha... & he was very impressed he said how come such a small body could store so much energy...

I was underestimated because i've never shown my sporty side to him, because i never exercised haha...

Took us 45mins to reach the top & another 30mins to get down...

Isn't the view worth all the perspirations...

Devoted prayer I am...

Then, were finally done for the day, time to check in to our resort & have a good rest...

Likey our villa so much, so many things to compliment about... I wanted to show you our room but sorry there was only 1 picture taken, hehe...

The exterior and interior were designed to make us feel like as if we were in a midst of tropical jungle, wooden cottage with a garden patio surrounded by various type of flowers and plants... I like how they used lots of DIY inspired gardening techniques to have the whole place looked so exotic with a touch of Thai architecture, so relaxing & pleased to the eyes...

Of course, the customer service was very good too... They provided car, motorbike and bicycle rentals, food delivery, door to door massage, laundry like we didn't even need to step out of our room to get everything done, so convenient...

The location was a little secluded but this was how I just preferred which I would really love a quiet night to stay away from the hustle and bustle of town... Best part is, its absolutely affordable, not expensive at all...

We took a shower, rested for awhile & its time for Fluffy's birthday dinner... Yeah!

I arranged a very special birthday dinner for him which I signed up a cooking course for both of us, haha... What makes it more memorable when you cook your birthday dinner yourself, especially when this birthday boy has never cooked a proper meal by himself before... He was like : "Dear arh... I just wanna sit back & relax why do you have to make me so tired..." haha...

We went to this Krabi Ya's Cookery School, the tuition fees for cooking class was a bit pricey, but the experience was worth it...  Ya was the famous Thai chef but she was on vacation her daughter took over for the night... Another best part was that the cooking class was usually fully booked but it was just Fluffy & me for the night, which was exactly what I wanted because we could get full attention during the class...

Turned out Fluffy was talented in cooking, he chopped better than me, haha... We were taught how to do some local Thai dishes plus Ya's daughter & her helpers were really friendly & patient to explain to us the usage of different kind of spices,etc..

It was a fun cooking experience & tada... We ate what we cooked, they all tasted good, very Thai style, haha... We were given all the recipes it would make no problem for us to prepare a meal like this anytime after we come back to Msia given the chance of us being so hardworking to cook was kinda slim, haha.. But still, at least we had the recipes, hehe...

After the dinner, we were finally done for the day... Had a door to door massage service before we went to bed, it was a long day, very tired but fulfilling... Fluffy's 24th birthday passed just like this... It might not be the best one but I hope at least it would make a special one...

4/6/17 Sunday

Its the day to nourish our skin with vitamin D... Woke up 8am in the morning to get ready for our Phi Phi island tour...

This Phi Phi island tour took around 6-8 hours & Bamboo beach was our first stop... Lucky for us, there weren't much tourists on the beach as if we owned the shore, haha... The water was clear in turquoise blue, some of the tourists from our group went swimming while Fluffy & I just enjoyed dipping our toes in the warm & soft sands, admired the alluring scenery & snapped as many photos as we desired, haha....

Were taken to Viking bay for next, where bird nests were harvested... No speedboats were allowed to visit though, just passingby and captured some photos at the entrance... Look at the color of the salt water though, this was no filtered blue...

Departed to the very famous Leonardo-Dicaprio-has-been-to attraction : Maya Bay... By the time we arrived, the bay was fulled of thousand of tourists, no kidding... I couldn't even see the beach anymore, just boats & people... We were given a choice which we could get down to the beach or we could go snorkelling as the last activity before lunch...

As much as i wanted to go down & enjoy the stunning landscape, the crowds were too crazy i knew there would be no scenery left for my photo, just tourists, haha... Fluffy & I gave up the idea & chose to go snorkelling instead.. Was glad that we made that decision...

It was so beautiful down the water, lots of tropical fish they just swam by you but you would never be able to catch up & touch them... Colorful fish & corals were everywhere, i imagined i was a mermaid & swam freely under the water... It was when i could just put everything aside & just took in this beautiful moment...

I always have car & flight sickness surprisingly I was ok when it came to the sea, haha... A girl vomited on the boat & Fluffy was so dizzy he was that close to throw up too, i didn't feel very well too but definitely better than i was in a car or a plane, weird right? haha...

Stopped at Phi Phi Don to have lunch then we continued our adventure to the sea... Visited Monkey Bay, which many monkeys were sitting or climbing at the cliff it was hard to spot them as they had the same color as the rocks, like they were camouflaged... Went snorkelling one last time before we went back to Aonang beach...

I bought a waterproof handphone bag with the intention to record videos under water but this girl was afraid water might leak in or her phone might drop she would rather not take any pictures or videos than to risk losing her phone, haha...

Fluffy was like :"Why do you even buy it at the first place then?" & we actually tried, the waterproof bag fuctioned just alright, i was too paranoid, haha... So... no photos for snorkelling, my bad... :$

I applied layer & layer of sunblock while Fluffy put on so little sunscreen he was basically attacked by the UV sunlight directly... Turned out i was 103358920952 times darker while he remained as fair as he always does, like HOW WAS THIS FAIR!!! He said :" My dear this time became a true Thai girl now..."

Had our dinner settled at the night market downtown, shopped a little, bought some souvenirs... We promised to buy a fridge magnet everytime we travel to a new country & to have our future fridge in our future home decorated full with magnets... So dreamy right hahaha...

It was ordinary compared to night markets in Bangkok but we enjoyed as much... Took away my favorite Thai food, mango stick rice & his favorite banana pancake for supper... I had massage again back in hotel but Fluffy wasn't that into massage compared to me which i think it would be a good sign if you get what i mean, hehe...

That's all for our second day in Krabi & it was the last day...

5/6/17 Monday

We let our biological clock woke us up this day as it was the day to go home... Short trip but satisfied... 3D2N Fluffy's Krabi birthday getaway ended right here...

♥~Cecilly's Vacation to New Zealand - Part 3~♥

Day 7  28/4/17  Friday

Christchurch → Cashel Street → Avon River → Bridge of Remembrance → Lake Tekapo

Our flight was at 7am in the morning, woke up at about 4.30am & it was freezing... It was a very bumpy flight to Christchurch, South Island we thought we were doomed... Thing that i don't like about JetStar, they didn't announce or warn us ahead of the turbulence, all the passengers got so worried... Since then, whenever Fluffy & I thought of flying, this particular bad experience automatically come to our minds...

Bytheway, we've finally touched down to the largest city in South Island, Christchurch!!! It was so true that South Island makes much of a feast for the eyes compared to North Island... It was so beautiful even in their residence area, fallen leaves with the color of autumn everywhere, very dreamy...

Christchurch experienced a 7.1 earthquake back in 2011 a lot of buildings have collapsed or damaged, we first went to Cashel Street to visit the Re-Start container mall which this innovation was supposed to be a temporary solution but somehow turned into an internationally famous icon of the post-quake...Until now we could still see many renovations or constructions were going on in the city...

Settled our breakfast there too... Got abit lazy to type, i'll let the pictures give your a brief introduction of Christchurch... :)

Haha... this girl got too hungry...

Heard the Dmitris Greek food here was good...

恋爱中就是明明可以自己吃东西, 却更爱另一半喂你... haha...

Bridge of Remembrance...

Chirstchurch has tram too...

Wished to go for the city tour but we didn't have time for that... :(

Christ College...

Avon River, where you can have breathtaking gondola boat ride...

Spent a morning discovered the city then we hit the road to our next destination : Lake Tekapo...

It was a 3 hours drive & the scenery along the drive was so epic we pulled over a few times just to enjoy the stunning landscape & picturesque a little while longer...

Gosh this was the Inland Scenic Route, we could have arrived Lake Tekapo within 3H but our Airbnb host recommended us to take a detour so that we could have a look at this masterpiece from nature... It was so worth the 45 more minutes of driving... NO PICTURE COULD DO JUSTICE TO THE BEAUTY OF NEW ZEALAND, NONE... You have to be there to see it with your eyes, priceless...

The very popular attraction in NZ South Island, Church of The Good Shepherd.. It was located just beside of Lake Tekapo... There were so many tourists as we arrived our photos were all being severely photobombed, haha... This place was also famous for star shooting which was what we were going to do later at night...

Then, we headed to this small town named Fairlie to check in to our stay of the day... It was a 100 years old house with lots of antiques inside, so cool... Our host & hostess were nothing but friendly & hospitable, they have a dog Zoe which showed us some of the tricks she knew, haha...

Unloaded & put on some thicker layers to withstand the cold later at night... Went to a nearby restaurant for pizza & we were ready for our mission of the trip : to hunt the milky way...

It was almost an hour drive back to Church of The Good Shepherd, it was around 8pm when we reached & the amount of tourists never reduced... Saw many professional photographers already found the perfect spot for their tripods & high tech cameras... We managed to squeezed in to join them too, haha....

We still had some problems shooting & when i saw the photo captured by the camera standing next to ours, my jaw dropped... Its the milky way!!! It was there!!!! I got panicked & i left all my dignity & embarrassment behind, asked the camera's owner if he could teach us about the camera setting... He came from China & luckily he was kind-hearted enough to teach us...

We made good friends for the night, haha... & i shall show you our masterpiece now... Staggering beauty & heart pumping thrill awaits....

Tada!!! I was so touched my tears were brimming in the corner of my eyes... So beautiful to be true... Was totally awestruck...

It was a night that we clung on to each other under 6 degree celsius, waited 1 min for each photo taken as the shutter speed was set at 30 secs, he would sometimes stole a kiss or two from me... It held such memorable & precious memories of ours, hope we could make it to Iceland for northern light next time...

Day 8  29/4/17  Saturday

Arrowtown → Queenstown

We wanted to stop over at Wanaka & again... not enough time... To think in a positive perspective, it gives us another reason to come back to this wonderland again, haha...

The next time i come, I'll sure cover Milford Sound, Wanaka, Fox Glazier & Wellington...MUST!!!

Arrowtown is a historic gold mining town & it looks absolutely gorgeous in autumn... The town was painted different shades of red, pink, orange, yellow, green, brown, etc... If you wanted to experience autumn, it would be the best place...

Last destination of our exploration in New Zealand, Queenstown... Fluffy said he likes Queenstown the most as it has everything as in it is surrounded by majestic mountains, some covered in snow & nestled on the shores of crystal clear Lake Wakatipu... People said Queenstown is one of the best place around the world to do skydiving & now we know why...

Shopped a little at the downtown shopping precinct which was right on the shore of Lake Wakatipu... There were various of souvenirs shops & cafes it would make a relaxing day walking around... However the weather was too cold i was shivering all the time, hehe...

We tried the "must try" Fergburger which the burger is a size larger than our face, haha... We even went to Patagonia Chocolate for dessert & ice cream!!!

Day 9  30/4/17  Sunday

The next day morning before we were ready to fly back to Auckland for another flight back to M'sia, we spent our morning there too...

I couldn't enjoy more during this trip, how we constantly mesmerized by the natural phenomenal wonders & many more...

We will be back... Krabi post up next... :)
